Kathleen Haven, is nestled in the picturesque Cobbitty village some 35kms southwest of Sydney. This generational family farm is run by Brett and Kate Guthrey who share a passsion for food and a love of the land.
Over 30 years ago, Brett and Kate settled at the family farm, at the time a renowned producer of stonefruit. Captivated by a trial planting of persimmons they set about increasing production. Eventually they settled on the Hachiya and Fuyu varieties and continue to enjoy discovering new ideas for these versatile delicious fruits.
Today, Kathleen Haven, a market leader, specialises solely in growing persimmons. As producers of both types of this sumptuous fruit, Kathleen Haven commands a high level of expertise. Brett and Kate are committed to learning, travelling extensively to improve their expertise and deliver a consistently premium product.
